Books are checked out for a two week period (14 days). The checkout period for videocassettes shall be two business days. One renewal period of two weeks shall be permitted for books and audiotapes, provided the item in question is not "on hold" for another patron. Telephone renewals will be accepted. Renewal on videocassettes will not be accepted. Newspapers, magazines, reference materials and genealogy materials may not be checked out.  Overdue books and audio books are charged 10 cents a day, with a maximum fine of $2.00 per item.  Fines are not incurred on Sundays and holidays. Overdue videos are charged $1.00 per day, up to $10.00 maximum per item. Only 3 videos may be checked out at one time. A fine of $0.50 may be charged for videos which are returned without being rewound. Patrons are expected to pay for lost or damaged items. No more than 5 items may be checked out at one time per card.
